I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Planks are the most effective core exercise you can do. Not only are you strengthening your core muscles, but you are also working the shoulders, arms, legs, and back.
Try this plank move for a killer core sesh. Do this move alone or add it to your next core day!
the 3-way climb
Start in a full plank position with wrists aligned underneath the shoulder, feet slightly wider than hip-width apart, and a neutral spine making a straight line from the crown of your head to your heels.
Engage your core, tighten your glutes, and puff out your shoulders so that they are pushing up and away from your body.
Lift the right foot and bring the right knee into chest.
Bring it back to starting position and then bring the knee to the opposite elbow.
Back to start, then bring back same knee to the outside of the same elbow.
Repeat on other side.
Keep going for at least 30-60 seconds.
Repeat at least 2-4x.
